EC: Summary

In Maggie Silver's article entitled "Teachable Moments- Courtesy of The Walking Dead", she states that we need to prepare a first aid kit for the zombie apocalypse. The author supports her claim by first filling up your car with gas, at least half full. Also, to have enough fuel to get out of a Dodge before impending disaster strikes. Silver says," Siphoning gas...with your mouth? Gross." The author next proceeds to show that you hve a first aid kit on hand and keep one near you, at home in the car and at work. " Were assuming that you're not scavenging for supplies on the freeway or hiding [under cars]," says Silver, " but...always have a first aid kit on hand." Finally the author says that clean water is zombie free water. Contaminated water is a common concern, also check with local authorizes about your water. Another way to make water safe is by boiling, adding disinfectants or filtering. "Zombie down the well? You might want to find a new water source," suggesting Silver.
